Kings Church started in 1993, its faith, beliefs and teaching being based firmly on the Bible. The members of Kings Church are ordinary people of all ages and from all walks of life, who share a common conviction that God is real and, through the Holy Spirit, is active in the world. They believe that having a personal relationship with Him is the only meaning of their lives and that this is made possible through Jesus Christ. It is the primary goal of Kings Church, through its meetings and activities, to bring the good news of a full and life-changing relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, to the people of Darlington and its district.

Home Groups, each comprised of a number of Church members, meet locally all over Darlington. The Groups pray, worship, study the Bible and reach out to the community. They are a chance to get to know people and find out about Kings Church in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, Alpha Courses run regularly throughout the year. The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith, in a relaxed, non-threatening and fun way.
